India women opted to bat first in the third and final ODI game after winning the first two matches comfortably in Rajkot. Stand-in Captain Mandhana smashed a 70-ball ton to break the full-time captain Harmanpreet Kaur's record of the fastest century by an Indian women cricketer.
She went on to make 135 off 80 balls which included 12 fours and seven sixes. Her 233-run stand for the first wicket with newcomer Pratika Rawal also gave Indian batters a chance to play freely.
Rawal made 154 runs off just 129 balls and hit her maiden ODI century after missing the same in the first two matches. She now has the most WODI runs (444) after six matches in women's international cricket. She broke the record of England batter Charlotte Edwards during her inning.
The 24-year-old Rawal batted for 44 overs and hit 20 fours and just one six in her mammoth knock. Richa Ghosh also played a crucial knock of 59 runs off just 42 balls.
With the late efforts from Harleen Deol and Tejal Hasabnis, Indian women posted their highest total in the women's ODIs (435 runs). This was higher than India men's highest ODI total (418).
The score of 435 runs is the fourth-highest total in women's ODIs with the first three acclaimed by New Zealand Women. Out of the first six highest WODI totals, four have come against Ireland Women.
